Aug 10, 2008· Apart from standard milling cutters it is great for grinding threading and grooving lathe tools. These tools should be rough-ground on a bench grinder, then transferred to the Quorn. One job I did on it was to sharpen a dovetail cutter so that the 60 degree angle matched the angle of a quick-change tool post and tool holders.

Feb 05, 2009· Going off at a tangent, I think that the Stent or the Brooks is far more acceptable in the rough and tumble. I did buy a Stent as a sort of impulse buy becauuse I didn't really need it. The Stent was found to be fabricated from steel sections welded up. There is now snow and frosts and an old man who doesn't want to leave the warm( me).
